Tor Johnson was portrayed by WWE hall of Famer George "The Animal" Steele in the movie Ed Wood.

Not sure what I like best about this poster: Grover in drag, Prairie Dawn as a "vamp", Cookie Monster stumbling around like a zombie, the fact that Bert seems ready to shoot himself upside the head, white-haired Guy Smiley, the Count as counting junkie...ah, what the heck; I love it all!

Never in a million years would I have thought that someone would mash-up Sesame Street with Edward D. Wood Jr! Love it!

Glad you like it! It's now been about six years since I drew this, and I don't even remember what inspired me to draw it!

Then again, the Sesame Street Players always put on silly shows. Suppose it was about time they branched out to more adult-themed stories on stage LOL

Those test tubes of coloured fluids remind me of a problem in a game called "The Neverhood." After you'd shrunk yourself to itty-bitty size, you had to return to normal later, and the only way to do it was the find the correct amount of four fluids of different colour, poured into test tubes like these. You drink the wrong combination and your body bloats up in weird ways and then fizzles out... leaving you small. Fun game. From about 15 years ago I guess. Today's games seem mostly about killing people, blowing things up or racing cars wrecklessly through crowds.

As bad as Ed Wood movies were, you got to give him credit for being to make them under such low budget at the time along with the many other problems like the Church that funded Plan 9 forced him to cast a member of their church as the star. And read that he was a good and successful pulp fiction novelist.

This is great, Jay! I never thought I'd see a mash-up between Jim Henson and Tim Burton's work, but I'm VERY glad I did! That was a very good movie- it showed how one man had optimistic passion in bringing his vision to life, regardless of what was thrown at him along the way. It's cool to see Grover, one of my favorite Muppet characters, as Wood himself (nice touch with the drag, too) =D

I love how the stoned Count is tweaking over the beakers- that's just priceless :XD:

Man, I couldn't even finish "Plan 9 from Outer Space", it was so horrible! I'm surprised Tor Johnson's face wasn't permanently stuck that way. :wtf:

Love the cross-dressed Grover! And the Count! :lmao:

I love it. But sometimes this types of cosplays who got a lot of views and a lot of comments often are not liken by their creator. I love the idea, the humor the drawing the colour the movie and muppets.

I get what you're saying. I have a friend on DA who created a piece that was so popular that it was featured in many major venues, but he can't stand it! Me, if I'm not happy with something I created, I won't put it on DA. And I rarely get sick of my work, though I do get sick of some of the comments I get. For example, I still have people bitching about my Britney Spears piece, and it's always someone who has no deviations of there own, but who faves any "positive" pieces done reflecting Britney. Yeesh...

Which Britney piece? They are lovely drawn, yet they have the same themes that where already done for millions of times.
My friends say this: "why are you mad at Britney. After all she won a Grammy."

I'm talking about the bald one. Finding a new theme for Britney wasn't my goal in creating that piece (or the other one, for that matter). I was simply illustrating her descent into a shaved mad dog. I was never mad at Britney, despite what people wanted to believe. It was simply a matter of drawing what was before me, and she splashed her brand of crazy all over the media. I'll never feel guilty for drawing that piece. Hell, I'm proud.

Awesome idea. It's funny I always thought they should do a muppet remake of the original Dracula with the Count as Dracula and Gonzo as Remfield.

Oh, Lord, this is genius. :D Ed Wood is without a doubt, the worst director of all time, which elevates him to the standard of the Golden Turkey for Best Worst Director... I loved this pic, the references are so clever and hilarious. Prairie Dawn as Vampira made me fall out of my chair with laughter. LOL

In the actual movie, there's a scene where the character that Bert represents here srcatches his head with the barrel of his gun, which is why it looks like that.
