A recent commission where I was asked to draw Hawkeye and Black Widow. I don't particularly enjoy the pared down, modern looks the characters have today, so I opted for a more 60's vibe, complete with a trippy bullseye background.
WOWWWWWWW! This one has me going down old memory lane. I don't know if it's the colors/scheme of your bground or the "possing" pose you have Hawkeye and Black Widow in, but it reminds me of The Avengers intro theme....not Marvel's Avengers... the old british tv series with Patrick Macnee (john steed)and Diana Rigg (emma peel) The Avengers. great work my friend.
You're welcome! I know it may come off as stating the obvious, but you've got a real, solid knack for characterization. Every character piece you do has a solid sense of emotion, motivation, and creates a clear channel of communication and humor. It's a big inspiration for me and all my cartoon work. Thanks for the great work, and the indirect tutoring!
Thanks man! You know, I hear this at least once a week from my friends, and now a pro in the field! Ya know, maybe there is something to this teaching thing. I can't hog all the credit though. I owe my knowledge to my old art professors and, of course, the long list of artists I've studied and chatted with. Hmmm...(mulls over the notion of graduating to Professor Jamie while doodling)
Hey who complains? I like when they show up like this then what they had done recently(mostly Hawkeye). Lets see if she can do the same when Hakweye points it towards her butt lol XD. Nice work, i like how you drew both characters
