Bizarro Tribute

This is a commissioned piece for a friend who's a big Bizarro fan. If you don't know who the character is, he's essentially the polar opposite of Superman in every possible aspect. Before tackling this piece, I decided I needed to do some research. What I found was that the character has been overhauled at least three times in the past fifty odd years, making a faithful tribute to the character very tricky. So I took what I considered the most classic attributes, pale skin, roughed up appearance, color scheme and backward S, and went from there. The joke involving 90's one hit wonder OMC and his song "How Bizarre" came to me immediately. This may be the most detailed full color piece that I've done since The Last Happy Meal, and I'm pretty pleased with it. Oh, and "Shaner Antiques" is a visual shout-out to Evan Shaner, my friend who commissioned this piece. That's him looking awestruck behind the broken glass.
